I finally get to the point where I really can't do it by myself. Here's my story: I'm a single mother of a 2y old baby girl. I work full time, we live in Queens, NY. I have to move out of my apartment by the end of March and I don't have the money to put together towards the rent. My baby goes to the day care while I'm at work, I don't have anyone (family) close to me. I file for child support from my baby father but he still don't give me any money, I went back to court and file for violation of petition, we have a new court date on April 2009. Meanwhile, the apart where I use to live present some hazard to my child's life, the landlord has to do renovation, we have to move. I know times are hard these days, therefore I'm not asking you to pay all my bills because I do work, I just need help getting a decent apart and what I'm making is far too less to cover the deposit and the moving cost. I went to HR office to find out if I can get some help there, but not only did I spent the whole day there, they also said because I make above the poverty line, ($20,290 for 2008 on my W2), some other are more in need than I.
Therefore I'm asking you to please, please help me and my daughter get a place to live. I'm a hard working mother, struggling to make ends meet like everyone else. I had to put school on hold right now to compensate on day care cost when I realize that I wasn't going to get any help from the father willingly. We have the deadline of March 31, 2009 to leave the apart we are now. If you want to help us with anything no matter how little, please reply, we really need your help.
